Naturally Me! Facial Care - Part 2

I receive a lot of questions about; what can I do about these dry areas, red areas and acne areas on my face?  What do you say but do your best to give the best answers possible, always advising you to see your physician about any health concerns.

I love creating and sharing with people I know who will truly appreciate my creations. Bath and Beauty products are not the only things that keep my focus; I love sewing, baking Gluten Free dog treats and making one of kind pieces of jewelry.

If you have ever suffered from Eczema, Psoriasis or Rosacea you know how uncomfortable it is to deal with when flare-ups occur.  The wonderful thing is that there are natural treatments available on the market.  You just have to do a little research.

Having said that, let’s talk about attacking these problems naturally.

Eczema affects a lot of people; it doesn’t choose which people will have the opportunity this week it causes havoc to those who have it and those who have it suffer from with discomfort.

What is Eczema?  It is an inflammation of the skin usually caused by an allergic reaction.  Most people will get the rash on their hands, neck, face and legs. A lot of times, you will even see it around the lip area. Most of my clients have shown me areas on the knees, elbows and the wrist. Please continue to keep in mind that you will need to get checked before deciding on a natural treatment.  After you have decided on a method of treatment, remember to avoid scratching the itch, because you can make the problem worse.

Psoriasis affects all.  Psoriasis doesn’t discriminate.  Psoriasis is another condition that has the result of the skin showing signs of thickened and scaling skin.  If you have ever had the opportunity to view this, you will see dry flakes of scaly skin around the most commonly known areas of the elbows, knees and scalp.  Some people have a mild form of psoriasis, which contain small dry patches and others have a very severe psoriasis where many parts of their body are covered with this condition.

Rosacea is a common skin disease that affects adults.  It is often seen with redness on the facial area.  There are individuals who get bumps and pimples on the red parts of their faces.  Rosacea can cause burning and redness.  Remember to speak with your physician regarding treatment options.

Unfortunately, we ourselves suffer or we know someone who suffers from any one of the above, don’t give up, there is always information available about how to combat this problem. Please keep in mind that research is a key part in making the right choices.

Some things can be done to help soothe skin irritation, if you are a little proactive and have a natural skin care routine. By using natural cleansers and moisturizers for your skin you can and will save yourself from those annoying flare ups.  Try making it a point to find natural detergents like Seventh Generation, this detergent is non-irritating, free of dyes and synthetic fragrances, and supports sustainable palm oil. I enjoy this detergent.  I know that Target carries the entire line.  Give it a try!

I love using products that work well for my skin; my Black Onyx facial cleansing bar is amazing.  I am not just saying this because it’s my product, it works.  I have adult acne and I get regular breakouts.  I will not use anything else.  (see picture below)  Please take the opportunity and try this bar for yourself, visit our website at naturalproductsbytmb.com to order your sample bar.

Find Facial cleansers that have ingredients that are hypoallergenic.  Most facial cleansers are commercially prepared in mass quantities and can contain harsh and irritating chemicals for your skin and especially your face.  Try a facial cleanser that contains natural elements of clay.  Clay is natural resource, absorbs toxins and is great for sensitive skin. I am going to continue to plug my products because they are “awesome”.  I have a soap-free facial cleanser that is made with Organic French Green Clay, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Sunflower Extract, Calendula Extract, Burdock Root, Rosehip Oil, and Vitamin E Oil.  These ingredients not only help to clean the face but hydrates as well and restores moisturize.  (get a sample) If that doesn’t interest you, soap-free products are just that soap-free, we have a foaming facial cleanser, this cleanser is amazing in removing dirt without irritating your skin. We infuse Olive Oil with fresh mint for blood circulation, burdock root for anti-bacterial properties, Sunflower & Calendula Extract have aromatherapy and anti-bacterial properties, Jojoba & Hemp Seed Oil for hydration.  This is an excellent product for sensitive skin.  An added bonus is Raw African Shea Butter which is a great and natural moisturizer and skin healing agent.

Special thanks to my women of a certain age group. We are not afraid to ask those skin problem questions.
