Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)

Huh!

I know. I think of all kind of topics. Because I am a curious soul.

Ok. So, we have discussed several things since I started blogging. Here is another for you to think about tonight.

This is an ingredient that can irritate the skin; Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). Known as surfactants. Surfactants lather well and are found in shampoo, toothpaste, shaving cream, laundry detergent, dish soap and many industrial cleaning products. Because of the way these are designed to work surfactant molecules stays on hair and skin long after you think you've rinsed them off.

Did you know that as they sit there, the literally strip away fatty acids, moisture, and amino acids from your hair and skin. They also increase dryness, increase roughness, and disturb the healthy growth process of new hair and skin.

Have you ever wondered why your hair is falling out?

I am just saying.

Peace.
